WOW! JAPAN TO START CONSTRUCTING RAILWAY IN PH THIS 2017

Ang pagpopondo ng nasabing proyekto - na kung saan ay binubuo ng konstruksiyon ng 37 kilometro ng mga bagong mataas na commuter tren mula Malolos, Bulacan sa Tutuban, Manila; pagkuha ng mga pagulong sa riles; at pag-install ng koryente makina sistema - ay pinondohan sa pamamagitan Official Development Assistance (ODA) sa pamamagitan ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

“Special Terms for Economic Partnership (STEP) will be applied to this project, and it is expected that Japanese technology such as construction techniques for elevated railways, efficient signal systems and rolling stock will be utilized,” JICA said.

In November 2015, JICA signed the loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of the Philippines to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 241.991 billion yen for the North – South Commuter Railway Project (Malolos – Tutuban).

Noong Agosto 11, 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte nakilala Japan Minister of Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida sa Presidential Guest House sa Panacan, Davao City. Duterte at Kishida tinalakay sa nasabing proyekto.




Dagdag pa rito, Japan ay din pagtulong sa ang pagiging posible pag-aaral ng isang 55-kilometer railway linya mula Malolos sa Clark sa Pampanga, at naghandog ng upang bumuo ng unang 100-kilometro ng 2,000-km Mindanao railway system.
